The invention relates to reactive adhesives based on free radical-polymerising monomers, which adhesives are characterised in that they contain bifunctional monomers of the formula (I) <IMAGE> in which R and R' may be identical or different and are linear or branched, optionally hydroxyl-substituted, alkyl groups having 1-20 carbon atoms, and n is 3, mixed with a polymeric thickener and optionally with further monomers as base materials, and organic peroxides as curing agents and amines as polymerisation accelerators. The invention also relates to the use of reactive adhesives based on free radical-polymerising, bifunctional monomers for the production of heavy duty adhesive bonds in automobile, aircraft, machinery and furniture production.
