In order to be able to accommodate the large character set necessary in modern typewriters, on daisy wheels, printers have been developed in which two types are arranged on a single spoke in each case in the radial direction of the spoke of the daisy wheel. In this arrangement, a change-over device is required for changing over to the desired row of type. The invention is based on the object of providing a change-over device for a daisy wheel (13) with two concentrically arranged rows of type, which change-over device requires little drive power and permits rapid and quiet changing over of the daisy wheel (13). This object is achieved in that the rotary adjustment shaft (11) with the daisy wheel (13) is rotatably mounted on one end (25) of a carrier (27) which can be swivelled by a drive device (41) about a bearing axle (29) which is arranged flush with the rotor (31) of the electric motor (33) for the rotational adjustment of the daisy wheel (13). As a result, only small masses have to be moved for the purpose of changing over, as a result of which the drive device (41) can be designed to have less power and thus be cheaper. <IMAGE>
