Single-channel direction finder

For a single-channel direction finder which should be uninfluenced by the information modulation of the signal, the direction of which is to be found, a direction-finding voltage corresponding to the reception of a directional pattern rotating at low frequency is combined with an azimuth-independent all round voltage in separate optionally connectable signal paths, either in phase or with an opposite phase shift of 90 DEG , to form an amplitude-modulated or frequency-modulated aggregate signal, supplied to the receiving channel and then amplitude- or phase-demodulated. From the phase angle of the AF signal thus obtained relative to a reference signal, the direction-finding angle is derived.
