<p>The invention relates to the hygienic care of the human body and discloses an absorbent material comprised of a hydrocolloidal polyelectrolyte which is water insoluble and absorbs several times its weight in aqueous liquid and of an isothiazoline-one-3 derivative. Preferably, said absorbent material further comprises a transition metal salt and the isothiazoline-one-3 derivative have the following general formula (I), wherein: R is a hydrogen atom or C1-C4 alkyl group, R" is a hydrogen atom or C1-C4 alkyl group or a halogen, Y is a hydrogen atom or C1-C4 alkyl group. Application of said absorbant materials to the making of articles exlusively intended to the hygienic care of the human body. </p> |
