PURPOSE:To reduce the difference in adjustment time depending upon whether the extent of movement is large or small by driving a lens speedily on full driving basis when the extent of movement of the lens is large, and adjusting it on slight driving basis when the extent of movement is small. CONSTITUTION:A motor driving circuit which drives a lens driving motor 601 forward and backward drives the motor 601 according to a control signal from a control circuit. A lens driving motor controller drives the lens speedily on full driving basis when a forecasted value N is larger than a specific value Nm, namely, when the extent of movement is large. Further, when the forecasted value N is smaller than the specific value Nm, namely, when the extent of movement may be small, slight driving is employed for adjustment. When forward driving is carried out, the lens is stopped while the margin including the inertia of the system is considered. Thus, the difference in adjustment time depending upon whether the extent of movement is large or small is reduced greatly. |
