PURPOSE:To record an information signal in a reversal period, after the reversing period elapses, and also to read out successively a reproducing information signal even in the reversal period, by providing a memory which is capable of storing the information signal of the running direction reversing period of a magnetic tape. CONSTITUTION:A leader tape 2 is provided on a terminal part of a magnetic tape 1, and the tape 2 is detected by a terminal part detector 3. A memory 5 which is capable of storing an information signal of a period corresponding to a period length of a running direction reversing period of a magnetic tape is provided on a recording circuit, and the same memory 17 is provided on a reproducing circuit, too. An output of the detector 3 controls a multiplexer 6, a switching circuit 11, a tape end signal generating circuit 14, and a tape start signal generating circuit 15, stops readout of the memory 5 into the course of a reversal period, and an information from an input terminal 4 is written. Also, the memory 17 is controlled by a switching circuit 22 and a multiplexer 19, write to the memory 17 in the course of a reversal period is stopped, and read-out is executed to an output terminal 18. In this way, a break of an information signal is prevented. |
