In order to erect a space-enclosing pillar, such as an advertising pillar, quickly and inexpensively, central, roof and base elements (1, 4, 3) of standardised parts are fitted together in accordance with the modular-construction system, the central element comprising a supporting framework (1) made up of standardised profiles, and pivotable and dismountable cladding panels (10) being provided for attaching notices.
