PURPOSE:To prevent intermediate medium charged in a Rankine cycle system from being discharged to the atmosphere upon periodical inspection, and as well to aim at recovering the medium, by recovering the medium, outside of the system by the pressure differential and the liquid head, and as well by charging the recovered medium in the system by the pressure differential. CONSTITUTION:During periodical inspection, when the evaporation of liquefied medium in a medium evaporator 12 is completed after a generator 14 is stopped, the supply of heat source to a heat exchange pipe 41 is ceased. When the condensation and liquefaction of evaporated medium in an LNG evaporator 10 are completed, a valve 57 is closed while a valve 58 is opened to allow LNG to pass through a heat exchange pipe 42 so that a medium recovering unit 16 and a tank 15 are cooled down, resulting in pressure drop. Therefore, liquid medium in the evaporator 10 is recovered to the tank 15 by the pressure differential between the evaporator 10 and the tank 15 and the liquid head. Meanwhile evaporated medium in another Rankine cycle system is extracted by closing a valve 61 and opening a valve 59 into a recovering unit 16, and is condensated and liquefied, being stored in a tank 15. Further, after completion of the inspection the liquefied medium in the tank 15 is charged into the evaporators by the pressure differential, and when the pressure is made uniform, the valve 57 is opened to recharge liquefied medium. After a limited liquid level is established, the valve 61 is closed. |
