PURPOSE:To produce fibers, or granular bodies of a metal having good dimensional reproducibility in various atmospheres by injecting a metallic melt from a melting vessel under rotation into the cooling liquid in a cooling liquid vessel rotating simultaneously on the outside circumference thereof by centrifugal force. CONSTITUTION:A crucible 2 which melts and injects a metal and a rotary drum 6 are simultaneously rotated in a vacuum or gaseous atmosphere. The molten metal 3 in the crucible 2 is injected from a nozzle 4 by centrifugal force into the cooling liquid 7 in the drum 6 while the rotating ratio or/and rotating direction thereof are changed. Fibers or granular bodies of the metal are thus obtd. The granular bodies, are easily obtd. if the number of revolutions of the crucible 2 is considerably increased. The surface shape of the particles is adjustable to irregularly shaped powder, pseudo-spherical or spherical shape, etc. by selecting the kind of the cooling liquid. The size of the particles and fibers is approximately determined according to the diameter of an orifice.
