PURPOSE:To prevent the bearing lubrication surface from electric current flowing and prevent the bearing from damage caused by electrolytic corrosion by a method wherein a conductive rubber enclosing plate is mounted on a ball-and- roller bearing and the like used in a motor, then the plate is contacted with both of an inner and an outer ring in the bearing. CONSTITUTION:When an electric voltage loaded between an outer ring 1 and an inner ring 5 of a cylindrical ball-and-roller bearing exceeds the withstanding voltage of an oil film 7 formed on the lubricating surface of a bearing, a discharge occurs on the lubricating surface of the bearing, the bearing is damaged by a scar generated by the discharge. A conductive rubber enclosing plate 6 is fixed to the outer ring 1, one end thereof is contacted with the inner ring 5, thus, a discharging electric current is flowed along a circuit 6 for preventing the damage of the bearing. Thereby, the damage on the lubricating surface of the bearing caused by the electrolytic corrosion can be prevented without providing an insulator and a chemical formation processing on both of the inner ring 5 and the outer ring 1, accordingly, the bearing life can be extremely extended. |
