摘要 PURPOSE:To provide a titled aluminum pipe having high tensile strength by subjecting a base material pipe formed of an aluminum base metal for electrical service added with a specific amt. of Fe to a high degree of cold working. CONSTITUTION:A blank material formed by subjecting an aluminum base metal for electrical service added with 0.3-1.5% Fe and specified in JIS H 2110 to casting and hot rolling then to rough drawing is formed with a friction driving type extruder using a pipeline formed of a driving wall surface and a stationary wall surface having the smaller area than the area of the driving wall surface as a pressure vessel or the tape-shaped blank material is subjected to TIG welding after forming, thereby manufacturing a base material pipe. The base material pipe is thereafter drawn at a cold reduction area of >=40% and a hard aluminum pipe having about 61% IACS conductivity and about >=16.5kg/mm.<2> tensile strength is obtd. If the Fe is added at <0.3, there is no effect in increasing the tensile strength and if >1.5%, the increase in the strength is satd. and deterioration in the corrosion resistance and conductivity arises and therefore the amt. of the Fe to be added is limited as mentioned above.
