PURPOSE:To provide a color picture tube having high luminance and suitable as a projection-type picture tube, etc., by using a mixture of Tb-doped yttrium aluminate fluorescent material and a zinc sulfide fluorescent material as a green light-emitting fluorescent material. CONSTITUTION:The objective color picture tube is obtained by using a fluorescent material obtained by mixing (A) a fluorescent material of the composition formula Y3Al5O12: Tb with (B) a fluorescent material of the composition formula ZnS:Cu, Al preferably in an amount of 20-80%, as a green light-emitting fluorescent material of the fluorescent face in the color picture tube panel. EFFECT:It has excellent current characteristics, temperature characteristics color purity, and long baking life.
