PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition having excellent processability, giving a cured article having high heat-resistance and impact-resistance, and suitable as a molded article, an adhesive, etc. to which high heat-resistance is required, by compounding an epoxy resin with a tricarboxycyclopentylacetic acid (anhydride) as a hardener. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is obtained by compounding (A) an epoxy resin with (B) a hardener comprising a tricarboxycyclopentylacetic acid (anhydride) (preferably dianhydride), preferably in combination with other hardeners such as acid anhydride (preferably anhydride of dibasic acid) (preferably the amount of the mixed acid anhydride is 0.3-1.2 equivalent per 1 equivalent of the epoxy group of the epoxy resin).
