PURPOSE:To enable to control an engine in accordance with the condition by providing an opening port in a circumferential direction to go through to a central passage of a plunger and switching between a normally-closing and an opening/closing part by means of an axially sliding sleeve for supplying fuel continuously and intermittently. CONSTITUTION:When an alternate sleeve 54 is moved in an X direction, an alternate port 52 is rotated at an opening/closing part to be reciprocated. In an injection stroke theta1, a plunger 8 is rotated clockwise to accord with the distribution grooves in the order of distribution ports 42-1-42-2 to push the fuel inside the plunger chamber 12, which is supplied to each cylinder from each delivery valve 50-1. Here, the port 52 is located on an opening port at positions of the distribution ports 42-3 and 42-4, and the fuel pressure is opened at the suction space 16 of a pump to stop the supply of the fuel. In an injection stroke theta2, the fuel is also supplied intermittently. Then, if the sleeve 54 is moved in a Y direction, the port 52 is rotated and reciprocated at the position of closing part to close the port 52 normally. This construction permits to supply the fuel continuously to control the engine efficiently. |
