Metal cage for rolling-contact bearings, in particular high-performance two-row self-aligning roller bearings, the inner races of which do not have a central rim. The cage is assembled from two parts, a cage comb part and a cage guide ring, by means of a shrink fit. The two parts are additionally secured positively against axial displacement by an annular groove on the cage comb part. The cage guide ring guides the cage on the rolling track of the outer race, thereby making the bearing capable of tolerating high vibration loading. The aim of the invention is to provide a cage which can be manufactured with economical use of materials and with little outlay, even in small numbers.
