摘要 PURPOSE:To contrive to reduce the moving stroke sufficiently necessary for separating a pulley from a transmission belt and consequently to realize a compact transmission device by a structure wherein a concave part to deform the transmission belt by deflecting is arranged on the outer peripheral part of a rotating body, on which the transmission belt is retained and supported in its disengaged state. CONSTITUTION:A transmission belt 12 is wound across an input split pulley 9 attached to a driving shaft 8 and an output split pulley 11 attached to an input shaft 10. In this case, a rotating body 17 is relatively rotatably fitted through bearings 18, a bearing retaining tube 19, and the boss of a sliding side annular body 9a onto the driving shaft 8 so as to pull the transmission belt 12 towards the driving shaft 8 side by means of a spring 13 when the disengaging operation is done and to retain the transmission belt 12 on one end of the rotating body 17. In addition, a concave curved surface 20 is formed on the belt retaining surface of the rotating body 17. Consequently, the belt 12 is prevented from being run together with the rotation of the driving shaft 8 and at the same time the desired object is attained by deforming the belt 12 in a concave curved form deflected in the direction of the breadth of the belt 12 by means of the outer peripheral surface of the concave curved surface 20 when the disengaging operation is done.
