PURPOSE:To prevent a premature wear of packing and to reduce handle operating load by fitting packing on positions which are inward and outward relative to threaded portion of a closure rod, and forming the inner diameter of respective shaft sleeves against which the packings rub to be of equal size. CONSTITUTION:Packings 15, 18 are fitted over inward area 9a and outward area 9b of a closure rod 9 relative to threads 12. A flange 16 is provided and a C-ring 19 is placed around the closure rod 9 to prevent the packings 15, 18 from moving. The inner diameter of a sleeve 7 against which the packing 15 rubs and the inner diameter of a sleeve 7 against which the packing 18 rubs are formed to be of the equal size. By this arrangement, leakage of lubrication oil out of a faucet is prevented, and as the pressure in the threaded area will not change abnormally, a premature wear of the packing can be prevented. Further, due to the lubrication action the handle operating load can be reduced. |
