PURPOSE:To manufacture a laminate sheet for electrical use, by impregnating a sheet substrate with a flame-retardant liquid epoxy resin composition composed of specific components such as a halogen-containing epoxy resin, an acid anhydride liquid hardener, etc., laminating a plurality of said impregnated substrates, and covering with a cover sheet. CONSTITUTION:A sheet substrate is impregnated with a composition obtained by dissolving (A) preferably 100pts.wt. of a halogen-containing epoxy resin in (B) preferably 50-90pts.wt. of an acid anhydride liquid hardener (preferably an eutectic mixture of HET anhydride and a liquid acid anhydride), and mixing the solution with (C) a phosphorus-containing flame retardant and/or (D) an antimony compound [preferably, the composition has a viscosity of 2-15 poise, a halogen-content of 15-22wt% a phosphorus-content of 0.1-0.3% and an antimony-content of 1.2-3%]. A plurality of said impregnated substrate sheets are laminated together, covered with a cover sheet and/or a metallic foil for cladding, and cured. EFFECT:It has excellent flame retardancy, mechanical strength, dimensional stability, soldering resistance, etc. |
