SYNTHETIC SLUDGE FUEL AND ITS PREPARATION

PURPOSE:To obtain a synthetic sludge fuel having excellent transportability, storability and ignitability, and giving little ash scattering during combustion, by pressing coal powder into the surface layer of a molded article made of a mixture of fine coke powder and sludge generated by waste-water treatment. CONSTITUTION:(A) A sludge generated from the process for the biological treatment of organic waste water is mixed with (B) fine coke powder, and the mixture is formed by dehydrating with a press. The amount of the coke is preferably 50-300wt% based on the solid component of the component A. The objective synthetic sludge fuel can be prepared by pressing coal powder into at least a part of the surface layer of said formed mixture.
