(2-Haloexgolinyl)-N',N'-diethylurea derivatives of Formula I (I) and the salts thereof, wherein R is hydrogen, alkyl of up to 6 carbon atoms, or alkenyl of up to 3 carbon atoms, X is halogen, is a CC-single or CC double bond, and the urea residue in the 8-position can be in the .alpha.- or .beta.-configuration, have neuropsychotropic and antihypertensive properties. As a result, they are excellently suitable for inhibition of lactation, and for treatment of Parkinsonism, psychotic disturbances, and high blood pressure.
