<p>A liquid concentrate of an aromatic hydrocarbon such as xylene and a surface active agent when diluted in water is found to be a worm extractant. In a preferred embodiment the liquid concentrate also contains minor amounts of trichloroethane. This concentrate when applied directly to the ground causes earthworms to emerge from the ground, thus facilitating their harvesting as fish bait and the like.</p> |
