PURPOSE:To enable to constantly obtain a clear and stable printing quality, by a method wherein pseudo-data are printed in a beginning-stage operating region wherein a printing force is insufficient, and formal data are printed in a normal- stage operating region wherein the printing force is stable. CONSTITUTION:Printing is conducted on a printing paper 1 of various size in a printing paper setting range (m), and a printing head 6 is moved in a moving range l>(m). When initializing is started by turning ON a power source, the head 6 is first moved to a home position until it is detected by a sensor 9. This position is m1-position which is within the range l but is out of the range (m). At this position, pseudo-data are printed NP-1 times (wherein NP is the number of times of printing at the time of normal-stage operation), thereby reducing static frictional forces and sticking forces due to oils which would otherwise become causes of an insufficient printing force. In printing of formal data at the NPth time and later printing operations wherein a sufficient printing force is obtained, desired printing is conducted in the setting range (m) of the paper. Accordingly, a clear and stable printing quality can be constantly obtained. |
