PURPOSE:The titled apparatus capable of properly separating a granular substance and moisture by lower energy, simple in structure and having durability, constituted so as to impinge the moisture-containing granular substance against a moisture separating belt at a high speed while separating the granular substance from moisture to receive the former by a chute. CONSTITUTION:In a moisture separating apparatus wherein a transfer belt conveyor 2 which consists of a drive pulley 22, a follower belt 23 and a belt 21 and a moisture separating belt conveyor 3 comprising a belt equipped with a drive pulley 32, a follower pulley 33 and a reinforcing plate 34, moisture-containing gravel thrown into a hopper 11 is induced onto the belt 21 and run to an oblique downward direction at a high speed while guided by a guide 25 to be impinged against the upper surface of the belt 31. The gravel is reflected from the surface of the belt 31 and downwardly fallen in a drained state to be collected to a gravel chute 14. Separated moisture on the belt 21 is scraped off by a scraper 26 to be withdrawn from a chute 26 while separated water on the belt 31 is flowed down and scraped off through a screen 37 or by a scraper 36 to be withdrawn from a moisture chute 15.
