PURPOSE:To improve the positioning precision by constituting a jig device holding an engine for positioning when assembling it with a stationary clamp claw and a movable clamp claw movable back and forth against the stationary clamp claw and forming claw tips in a taper shape. CONSTITUTION:Multiple clamp sections are provided on a pallet. A pulse motor 29 is driven under a command from a control section, a head 13 and a screw shaft 11 are rotated to move a floating nut 14, a body 17 is slided and a stationary clamp claw 23a is positioned to the coupling section of a work. At the same time, a head 26 and a clamp screw shaft 19 are rotated by the pulse motor 29 under a command of the control section 32, and a left side coupling section 27a is clamped by a movable clamp claw 23b from the width direction. Tips of the stationary and movable clamp claws 23a, 23b are made taper sections 33, thus serving as a guide when inserted into the coupling section 27a.
