PURPOSE:To obtain an easy-to-see screen of an image display device with easy handling by masking partially the image screen with a superimposing display of character and image display screens. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 14 of an image display device 10 supplies the information of a host computer given from a controller 12 to a character screen memory 16 via a memory 15. At the same time, the CPU 14 supplies the character data given from a keyboard KB 20 to the memory 16 via the memory 15. An image input given from a scanner 21 is applied to a cutting-out circuit 31, and the host computer gives a designation of a region to be separated via the CPU 14. The cut-out data is supplied to a display position control circuit 32 through the memory 15. The circuit 32 stores the distribution designation information of an image input to an image picture memory 17. The memory 17 masks the designations other than that for distribution of the image input to avoid the superposition of image inputs. This eliminates a double display to a CRT19. |
