PURPOSE:To identify assuredly the generation of a fault by transmitting a simple fault signal when a faulty device has an incoming call. CONSTITUTION:When a device has a fault and an operation stop signal is produced, a signal SD has a rise via an inverter 10 and a gate 5. If the faulty device has an incoming call under such conditions, a call display signal CI has a rise. Then an FF 7 is reset and a transmission request signal RS and a data terminal device ready signal ER have rises. Thus an MODEM M transmits the transmission data SD to the remote side. In this case, the data SD is turned into the start bit data and becomes active continuously for the timer time prescribed by a timer circuit 8. Then a fault signal is transmitted. Thus the calling side can judge a fault and discontinues calling until the fault is recovered. |
