PURPOSE:To simplify the construction and to reduce the number of leading terminals externally by connecting a semiconductor switching element to the stator windings of an induction motor, and repeatedly conducting it by a controller which has a photocoupler. CONSTITUTION:Triacs 4 are connected to a plurality of stator windings 2a of a single phase motor 2 for driving a rotary compressor, repeatedly conducted in the order by a setpping controller which has integrated circuits IC1-IC4 for energizing a control power source 10 and photocouplers 5-1-5-7, thereby performing a variable speed operation. An enclosed vessel for a compressor contains them together with the motor 2, and a power source is introduced from a terminal 8-1, and a control signal is introduced from a terminal 8-2. Accordingly, the electronic parts are reduced to simplify the construction, the load wires are limited to 9, the speed command system and the output system are insulated by the photocouplers to improve the reliability. |
