PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal transfer ribbon high in reliability, by a method wherein a heat-fusible ink layer is provided on one side of a base film, and an anti-sticking layer consisting of cellulose acetate is provided on the other side of the film through a bonding layer therebetween. CONSTITUTION:In the thermal transfer ribbon 11, a heat-fusible ink layer 3 consisting of a transfer ink is provided on one side of the base film 2 consisting of a plastic such as a polyester, and the anti-sticking layer 13 consisting of a cellulose acetate resin is provided on the other side through the bonding layer 12 therebetween. The base film and the heat-fusible ink may be respectively a conventional plastic such as a polyester and a conventional transfer ink, and the thickness of the base film is preferably about 1.5-15mum, while that of the ink layer is preferably about 1-25mum. |
