PURPOSE:To simplify center adjusting work before starting work by fitting a moving die to the fitting part of a fixed die through respective guide and adjusting deviation of axis by a gap provided between the die and the frame. CONSTITUTION:Before starting work, axes of a moving die 11 and a fixed die 12 are adjusted to approximate coincidence (deviation about 0.1mm.), and a material to be worked is set to working section 12a of the fixed die 12. When the die is closed by the moving die 11, the moving die 11 pushes the fixed die 12 through the material to be worked. The guide plane 11b of the moving die 11 comes into contact with the guide plane 22c of the fitting part 22, and the tip of the moving die 11 is inserted into the recessed part 22a of the fitting part 22. As there is a gap (h) (about 0.1mm.) between frames 14, 15 of the moving die and fitting part 22 to allow moving in the direction perpendicular to the direction of closing the die, some deviation is absorbed and the moving die 11 can be inserted into the recessed part 22 of fitting part easily.
