PURPOSE:To provide a steel wire for welding a heat resisting steel which yields a weld metal having good weldability as well as excellent strength and toughness by using C, Si, Mn, Cr and Mo as basic components and incorporating a specific amt. of these components in the wire. CONSTITUTION:A steel wire for welding a heat resisting steel is formed by incorporating 0.04-0.10wt% C, 0.25-0.55% Si, 0.65-1.00% Mn, 2.70-3.30% Cr, and 0.90-1.20% Mo as basic components. Cu is plated if necessary on such steel wire at 0.07-0.40% Cu plated on said surface by the total weight of the wire. The welding wire having such compsn. range forms a weld metal having good welding operability and excellent strength and toughness. The application range of the steel wire for welding Cr-Mo heat resisting steels in various welding fields is thus expanded. |
