PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body high in sensitivity and small in variation of the potentials of light and dark areas when a cycle of electrostatic charging and exposure is repeated by incorporating a specified compd. as an electrostatic charge transfer substance. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer is formed by laminating an electrostatic charge transfer layer contg. a hydrazone compd. such as ones of formulae IIand III, represented by general formula I (R1, R2 are each optionally substd. alkyl or aralkyl or phenyl or a residue forming a 5- or 6-membered ring together with N; R3, R4 are each optionally substd. alkyl or aralkyl or aryl, or heterocyclic; R5 is a divalent org. residue; and Ar1, Ar2 are each optionally substd. arylene), and a charge generating layer. The obtained electrophotographic sensitive body is high in sensitivity and it has an advantage of small variation of light and dark areas when a cycle of charging and exposure is repeated. |
