PURPOSE:To increase the surface area of a Li negative electrode and improve cell characteristics by sticking plate-like Li by pressure to a plain weave metal net welded to the inner surface of a negative electrode terminal plate and forming irregularities corresponding to the metal net on the negative electrode Li surface contacting with a separator. CONSTITUTION:A plain weave metal net 1 is spot-welded to the inner surface of a negative electrode terminal plate 2 as a current collector. Next, plate-like Li3 with a thickness two to six times the wire size of the metal net 1 is stuck by pressure to this metal net 1, thus irregularities corresponding to the metal net 1 are formed on the surface of the negative electrode Li3 contacting with a separator 4. Accordingly, the reaction surface area of the Li negative electrode 3 is increased, and also the thickness of the negative electrode 3 is rarely changed from that before it is stuck by pressure to the metal net 1 over the whole area regardless of irregularities. |
