PURPOSE:To obtain a printing plate for an electrophotographic photomechanical process superior in printing resistance and not causing peeling of a photosensitive layer in printing operation by forming on a conductive substrate a photosensitive layer contg. a specified hydrazone compd. as an org. photoconductive compd. and an alkali-soluble resin. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer is prepared by coating a conductive substrate of an aluminum plate or the like with a coating liquid contg. an alkaline soln.-soluble resin, such as a styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer, and when necessary, additives of a sensitizer, etc. and as a electrostatic compd. a compd. represented by the formula (Ar is a naphthalene or anthracene ring or styryl optionally substd. by methoxy or the like, and R is alkyl or benzyl), and drying it. This electrophotographic sensitive body is uniformly charged electrostatically, imagewise exposed, and developed with a toner. The toner image is fixed, and the nonimage areas are dissolved off with an alkaline soln. to obtain a printing plate. The printing plate thus obtained is superior in printing resistance and suitable also for manufacturing a printed circuit, etc. |
