PURPOSE:To improve durability by providing a primer layer containing no resin use hardening accelerator for resin mainly composing of a thermosetting resin, on a non-magnetic supporting body, and also providing a magnetic layer mainly composing of an electron ray hardening binder and ferromagnetic material fine powder, adding a hardening accelerator on said layer. CONSTITUTION:A primer layer is provided by providing a thermosetting resin on non-magnetic supporting body such as a plastic film, and paper, etc., and if necessary, by coating and drying an organic solvent solution containing a thermoplastic resin and/or a hardener and thereafter, an organic solvent dispersion containing an electron ray hardening binder, a ferromagnetic material fine powder, a hardening accelerator for the thermosetting resin, and a usual additive is coated on said layer, the binder is hardened by irradiating an electron ray from on said liquid, and thereafter, it is dried, and a magnetic layer is provided. By adding a thermosetting resin use hardening accelerator for the thermoset resin to an electronic hardening binder compound magnetic layer, an adhesive property between the supporting body and the magnetic layer is raised, and durability of a magnetic recording medium is improved. |
