PURPOSE:To constitute a titled head so that dust scarcely adheres to a gap of the head by providing a chamfered part on the part which is a gap side of each I-shaped core block for constituting the head, and also a slide side of a magnetic tape. CONSTITUTION:Roundish parts R1, R2 are formed on corner parts of I-shaped core blocks 3, 4 in each head H1, H2. A magnetic tape T contacts softly with the heads H1, H2, therefore, the surface of the tape T is not scraped by the corner part, and generation of dust can be suppressed to an extremely small quantity. Also, by formation of the roundish part R2, a flow of air on the head flows to both side faces of the head from a gap G. The dust flows to the side face of the head, the quantity of dust adhering to the gap G between the heads H1 and H2 is decreased, and it is possible to raise the reliability at the time of recording and reproducing of the head due to a fact that the dust adheres to the head. |
