Part of the device 20 passes through the wall 9b of the inner vessel 9 by virtue of a device for separating the hot liquid metal from the cold liquid metal. The device 20 consists of a set of coaxial vertical sleeves. It comprises in particular an outer sleeve 25 which has passage openings 38 for hot liquid metal, an intermediate sleeve 40 and an inner sleeve 42. Sleeves 25 and 42 are joined in their lower part. Sleeve 42 in its lower part opens into the cold manifold 10b and in its upper part communicates with the exit of the filter cartridge 51. A cooling device 45 is placed between a perforated sleeve 42a extending sleeve 42 upwards and the outer surface of the filter cartridge 51. The invention applies in particular to fast-neutron nuclear reactors of integrated type, cooled with liquid sodium. <IMAGE>
