PURPOSE:To prevent the splashing of a toner by mixing a resin, dye, pigment, electric charge controlling agent, etc. to prepare a powdery toner and com pressing and granulating the toner to granular particles wile maintaining the powder structure. CONSTITUTION:Toner raw materials such as resin, dye, pigment and charge controlling agent are mixed 1. The mixture is kneaded 2 by a heating roll or kneader. The kneaded material is cooled 3 and is crushed 4 by a hammer mill or cutter mill. The crushed material is pulverized to about 5-10mum by a ball mill 5. The powder is subjected to coarse powder classification 6 and fine powder classification 7 to remove coarse particles, etc. from the powder. The toner is them compressively granulated 8 to the granular material of the toner assemblage having about 5-10mm grain size. The granular toner material is put into a development tank and is agitated by an agitator in the stage of development, then the toner is decomposed to the original powder toner which provides a normal developing effect. Since the granular toner maintaining the powder structure is formed, the splashing and staining are prevented. |
