The invention relates to a mill/recoverer of forestry products. The subject of the invention is a mill/recoverer for forestry products, of the type having a hammer mill 4 with a horizontal axis, characterised in that it comprises, on the one hand, a chassis semi-mounted at the front of an automobile vehicle 2 and resting on two idle wheels 11, the said chassis carrying the said hammer mill 4 whose axis is substantially perpendicular to the direction of advance of the vehicle, the drive means 19 of this mill and a horizontal transporter 6, parallel to the mill 4, responsible for supplying the shredded products on one of the sides of the device, and, on the other hand, a storage skip 27 or the like carried by the said vehicle 2 and, finally, a lifting device 7 connecting the end of the said horizontal transporter 6 to the said skip 27.
