Title compds. I(R=optionally substituted(un)satd. aliph. or cyclo aliph. hydrocarbon, aryl, heterocyclic; R2=optionally substituted (un)satd. aliph. or cyclo aliph. hydrocarbon, ar-aliph. hydrocarbon) useful as herbicides, were perepd. by reaction of N-substituted-imido-dicarboxylic acid diaryl ester and isothiosemicarbazone followed by hydrolysis. Thus, 34.6g N-isobutyl-imido-dicarboxylic acid diphenyl ester and 16.0g acetone S-methyl-isothiosemicarbazone were stirred at 100≦̸C for 4hr to give 28.8g I(R1=(CH3)2CHCH2-; R2=Me).
