PURPOSE:To attain to enhance the recording image quality of a heat sensitive printing recording, by forming a first resistor layer comprising a resistance material having negative resistance characteristics to the small gap part between a pair of opposed electrode wirings while forming a second resistor layer coming to a heat generating element on said first resistor layer. CONSTITUTION:A first resistor layer 15 is formed on the smoothed surface of an insulating substrate 14 so as to be positioned at a part corresponding to a respective heat sensitive recording element. This resistor layer 15 is formed, for example, by coating a negative resistance material having oxide of a metal such as nickel mixed therein by thick film printing and is an adequately baked negative resistor. The leading end parts of electrode wirings 12, 13 and the surface of the first resistor layer 15 formed therebetween are shaped to uniform surfaces smoothed by polishing. In the next step, a second resistor layer 11 coming to a heat generating body is formed on the surface of the first resistor layer 15 through an appropriate insulating layer in a thin film state by vapor deposition. |
