PURPOSE:To facilitate setting and removal of a paper roll by providing a boss with elasticity so as to be fitted in a shaft groove at the flanged part. CONSTITUTION:A flange 12 is fixed to a shaft 11 by fitting a boss 15 at the flange 12 in a groove 13 in said shaft 11 by the use of elasticity of the boss 15, so that movement of the flange 12 along the shaft 11 with a force against said elasticity of boss 15 will provide fixation of the flange 12 to the shaft 11 to ensure simple and easy mounting and removal of a paper roll. Because the groove 13 and boss 15 are formed in the shaft 11 and on the flange 12, respectively, and because this groove 13 has a roll size position indicating function, the flange 12 can be fixed at the specified size position only by fitting the boss 15 of the flane 12 in the appropriate groove 13.
