A device (11) for holding covering profiles (5) on roof edges (3) consists of a two-legged holding profile (12) of U-shaped cross-section, which is of angular or U-shaped design and whose one leg (13) can be fixed with its central web (15) on the roof surface (2) and to whose other leg (14), running parallel to the covering profile (5) and open towards the roof edge (3), is attached the covering profile (5) by means of two clamping members (21, 22) attached vertically and laterally offset relative to one another. As a result of this holding device (11) it is possible to fix covering profiles (5) in a simple way from the roof surface (2) without difficulties and align them easily in height and at a distance from the roof edge (3). <IMAGE>
