In a seat component, composed of two shells, of a body-contoured seat for motor vehicles, in addition to reinforcement elements in the form of material reinforcements which receive attachment elements, beads into which bearing sheaths project are also provided. Said sheaths protrude from the holding plates, said plates being connected to the edge regions of the beads in order to increase rigidity. The bearing sheaths serve to guide support arms of a head restraint whose free ends engage in bores in the walls which terminate the beads at the bottom and in the foamed material adjoining said walls.
