The invention relates to a grinding head according to the preamble of Claim 1. The object of the invention is to provide a grinding head of this type which, with the elimination of restoring means, e.g. flexible recuperating springs, is insensitive to environmental influences, e.g. dust and the like, and is, moreover, extremely space-saving and compact. This object is achieved by the features specified in the characterising part of the main claim.
