In an electrical antenna rotor having a drive unit (4) on the antenna side, having an actuating motor (5) and having a control device (9) which is connected to the drive unit (4) and is arranged in the region of a receiving apparatus (7), a particularly convenient and, at the same time, cost-effective and simple operation is made possible in that the control device (9) has an IR receiver (10) and a battery-operated IR transmitter (11) which is physically separated from the IR receiver (10), and in that IR radiation which is modulated for information transmission can be emitted from the IR transmitter (11) and can be received and demodulated by the IR receiver (10). The modulation of the IR radiation of the control device (9) is in this case expediently different from the modulation of the IR radiation of the IR remote controller (12, 13) of the receiving apparatus (7). <IMAGE>
