PURPOSE:An external preparation for the skin having actions to provide the skin with smoothness and a wetting feeling and to make the skin with luster, fineness and beauty and improving effects on blood circulation of the skin, containing an anthocyanin and/or anthocyanidin. CONSTITUTION:An external preparation for the skin providing the skin with a smooth feeling in use, humectant effect, softening effect and activating effects, increasing an amount of hyaluronic acid, providing the akin with tension and luster, extremely useful for preventing and improving chapped skin, containing 0.0001-30wt%, especially 0.005-20wt% anthocyanin and/or an anthocyanidin as its aglycone, especially chrysanthemin and/or cyandine obtained from a culture cell of preferably a higher plant, especially a plant of the genus Euphorbia, especially HANAKIRIN, and preferably an ultraviolet light absorber and/or an antioxidant. The essential component is used as a coloring matter for foods and has high safety. |
