PURPOSE:To manufacture easily an optical fiber array body whose corrosion resistance and insulating property are good by sticking an optical fiber alignment body whose coating is removed and an optical fiber alignment body whose coating is not removed, to a glass-ceramic structure body, and forming them as one body. CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber 9 whose coating is removed and an optical fiber 10 whose coating is not removed are aligned on an optical fiber array substrate 4 which is formed by a glass-ceramic structure body whose cut-working is executed easily and whose corrosion resistance and insulating property are good, and provided with a coating optical fiber array part 7 and an end part 5 having a curvature, etc. Subsequently, a press plate 1 for aligning optical fiber formed by the same structure body as the substrate is placed on the optical fiber alignment body through an adhesive, and thereafter, when it is pressed down, the alignment body, the holding plate 1 and the substrate 4 are formed as one body. In the same way, an optical fiber array upper cover 8 of the same structure body, the substrate 4 and the fibers 9, 10 are formed as one body. Thus, an optical fiber array body whose corrosion resistance and insulating property are excellent is manufactured easily. |
