摘要 PURPOSE:To select easily a signal light and a non-signal light, and also to raise an SN ratio by selecting a state that a polarized state of an emitted luminous flux and an incident luminous flux has a prescribed relation, and a state that it does not have said relation, and separating the luminous flux by utilizing the polarized stage. CONSTITUTION:When a heating resistance body 6c of an optical modulating element BM is selected and heated, a liquid of a liquid thin layer 2 opposed to it is boiled up and a foam 7 is formed, but it annihilates in a short time. When a 1/4 wavelength plate 17 inserted into a luminous flux 10 is rotated, the luminous flux becomes an elliptical polarized light, and a regular reflected light 11 by the metallic surface of an insulating layer is varied to a linear polarized light and extinguished, therefore, it does not reach a photodetecting face 14. On the other hand, by a vapor foam 7 generated by the heating resistance body 6c which is selected and heated, the luminous flux becomes a scattered luminous flux 12', passes through the analyzer 16 easily, and it is irradiated to the photodetecting face 14. In this way, a signal light and a non-signal light are selected easily, and also an SN ratio is raised.
