A cigarette holder is specified whose cigarette holding part is provided with a holding member which can be fitted onto a finger of the user in the manner of a ring. The holding member can be constructed as a closed ring or as a resilient clip which grips round the finger on which it is worn and is partially open at the edge. Furthermore, provision is made for the cigarette holder to be mounted on the holding member so as to be swivellable about an axis running perpendicular to its own axis and to remain stationary with frictional engagement in any intermediate position within the envisaged maximum swivel range of about 15 DEG . By displacing the mouthpiece, an ejector can be actuated, in which case the cigarette holder can be held in its intended position by placing one finger against a concave support surface and a simple single-handed actuation of the ejector ram is possible.
