The invention relates to a manually operable metering device for a group filtration apparatus. It consists of chambers which are combined to give a magazine and are arranged in linear succession and which are filled with chemicals for the treatment of contaminated water. The chamber arrangement can be either in the form of a slide or else tower-like in the form of drawers. Both arrangements are constructed such that it is impossible to confuse the order of the chemicals. The chemicals are added to the group filtration apparatus by removing the bottom of the particular chamber.
